NAME OF THE POST AND PAY SCALE:-
Lady Constable in West Bengal Police in the pay scale of Rs. 5,400-25,200/- (i.e. Pay 
Band-2) with Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-, plus other admissible allowances.


NUMBER OF VACANCIES:- 2,940 
There will be reservation for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Ex-service personal 
and Exempted Category as per orders issued by the Government of West Bengal from 
time to time.


Age:- The candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years of 
age as on 01.01.2013 (i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 
1st January, 1995). Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 (five) years for SC/ST 
candidates and 03 (three) years for OBC candidates of West Bengal only. The upper 
age limit is also relaxable for Ex-service personal as per existing Govt. rules. 

Educational Qualification:- The candidate must have passed Madhyamik 
Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent 
examination from any Board recognized by the State Government or the Central 
Government.
